1. Acceptance of these Terms
By downloading, installing or using NorrNote, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the application.
2. About NorrNote
NorrNote provides tools for creating and managing notes, checklists, reminders, birthdays, categories, attachments and related personal information. The application is designed to work primarily on your device.
NorrNote is a general productivity application. It is not a password manager, emergency service, medical device, financial service, safety system or other service where failure or delay could create a risk of serious harm.
3. License to use the application
Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use NorrNote for lawful personal or business purposes on devices that you control, in accordance with Google Play rules and applicable law.
You may not copy, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, circumvent technical restrictions, interfere with the operation of the application, or use NorrNote in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others, except where such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.
4. Your content and responsibility for your data
You retain responsibility for the content that you create, import, attach or store in NorrNote. Your notes are stored locally on your device by default.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your device, protecting your device credentials, and creating backups when the information stored in NorrNote is important to you. PIN protection is intended to reduce accidental access and does not make NorrNote a secure vault for highly sensitive secrets.
5. Optional Google Drive backup
If you choose to use Google Drive backup, NorrNote can create and manage backup files created by NorrNote in your own Google account using the limited Google Drive drive.file permission.
Backup data is transferred between your device and your Google Drive account. NORRVIND does not operate a backend server that receives or stores the contents of your notes or NorrNote backup files.
Your use of Google Drive is also subject to Google's applicable terms and policies. Availability of Google Drive backup depends on Google services, your Google account, network access and device configuration.
6. Reminders and notifications
NorrNote can schedule reminders and display notifications using Android system services. Delivery can be affected by Android settings, battery optimization, permissions, device state, manufacturer software, time settings and other factors outside NorrNote's control.
You should not rely on NorrNote as the sole method for time-critical, emergency, medical, legal, financial or safety-critical notifications.
7. NorrNote Full and Google Play Billing
NorrNote may offer a Free version and an optional NorrNote Full upgrade. NorrNote Full is intended to be offered as a one-time digital purchase through Google Play rather than a recurring subscription.
Prices, taxes, payment processing, refunds and purchase availability are handled according to Google Play rules and the terms applicable to your Google account and region. NorrNote does not receive your payment-card credentials.
Where supported, the application can check Google Play for an existing purchase entitlement in order to restore access to NorrNote Full.
8. Third-party services
NorrNote may interact with services provided by third parties, including Android, Google Play and Google Drive. Those services are operated independently and may change, become unavailable or apply their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Updates and changes to the application
NorrNote may be updated to add, change or remove features, improve compatibility, fix defects or address security and policy requirements. Some features may depend on a supported Android version or on third-party services.
Reasonable efforts are made to keep NorrNote useful and reliable, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, NorrNote is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties that it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every particular purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded under mandatory consumer protection law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, NORRVIND and the publisher of NorrNote are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses resulting from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the application, including losses arising from device failure, deleted data, missed reminders, unavailable third-party services or failure to maintain an adequate backup.
This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.
12. Suspension or termination of use
You may stop using NorrNote at any time by uninstalling the application. Access to features may be restricted where necessary to comply with law, platform requirements, security obligations or these Terms.
13. Privacy
Your use of NorrNote is also subject to the NorrNote Privacy Policy, which explains how data is handled by the application.
14. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated when NorrNote, applicable law, Google Play requirements or related services change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when the Terms are updated.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you under the laws of your country of residence.
